Easy To Use

Easy To Use is a fountain that spills lubricant. Together the static structure and the fluid dripping down create an impermanent shape.

In mythology, the fountain often symbolizes a sacred opening or tunnel and is - through water as a medium of transformation - a metaphor for connection and emotion. Up until the early 20th century, homoerotic art frequently borrowed fountain or bathing scenes to legitimize male nudity and gay desire for collectors.*

Fluids circulate continuously, undergoing transformations within our bodies and facilitating intimate exchanges. They act as transmitters and translators, connecting and sensitizing us. They alter body temperature, the feel of textures, the speed of movement, and even turn touch into sound.

The fountain spills a specific lubricant, that is well-known in certain communities and the subject of a love-hate relationship. Praised for its elasticity, tensile strength, and ease of mixing in bulk, many have slipped on it. Yet, at the sweet spot, it channels the fountain’s symbolism - a medium for transformation that creates connection and enables access to sacred openings.
